Equine Therapy Centre

Our therapy centre assists in promoting health and wellbeing whilst aiding in the prevention and rehabilitation of injuries. The unit compromises of an Activo-Med Water Treadmill with optional incline, a solarium and an Activo-med Salt Water Spa with optional vibrating floor.

Our professional and dedicated team welcome horses from all backgrounds and levels. As well as facilities for the horses, our centre provides an optional viewing room with refreshments and free Wi-Fi for you to utilise while you wait.

Treadmill

The water treadmill offers numerous advantages when integrated into a training or rehabilitation programme. Providing a full-body workout without concussive impact, it encourages horses to move more freely and maintain a natural outline. Some of its advantages include:

Spa

Cold saltwater hydrotherapy is a highly effective, drug-free treatment known for its ability to enhance mobility and mitigate swelling. Thanks to its high salt concentration, it triggers powerful anti-inflammatory responses, speeding up recovery time from injuries and preventing further problems.

Optionally incorporating a vibrating floor accelerates the pace of recovery helping to speed things along. This therapy provides many diverse benefits such as pain relief, reduction in swelling and bruising making it an essential tool in managing a spectrum of musculoskeletal ailments, including but not limited to tendon injuries, suspensory ligament problems, hoof-related issues, soft tissue trauma, wound healing, inflammation, laminitis, arthritis, and overall equine health and wellness maintenance.

The Equine Therapy Centre is located at our Woodrow facility where there is ample parking and turning space for horse lorries and cars.
